Renalogic Achieves National Committee for Quality Assurance Accreditation for Population Health

Media Release

CHICAGO, IL (January 25, 2022) – Renalogic, the leading company helping employers and health plans fight the human and financial costs of chronic kidney disease, announced today they have been accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for Population Health Management.

NCQA Accreditation standards are developed with input from various stakeholders and resources: health plans, population health management industry leaders and organizations, an expert panel and standing committees. NCQA Accreditation standards are purposely set high to encourage organizations to continuously enhance their quality.

Renalogic works with clients to identify employees and covered members who have been diagnosed with, or are at risk for developing, chronic kidney disease (CKD). Members are risk stratified and assigned an expert clinical support team to help minimize, and in some cases reverse, the progression of CKD. Renalogic’s clinical team has an average of 15 years of nursing and/or clinical coaching experience, and the program has a 99% success rate in preventing CKD progression to End Stage Renal Disease.

“Given the importance of our clinical program and its impact on population health, we actively pursued NCQA accreditation as a testament to its rigor and quality,” said Kevin Weinstein, CEO of Renalogic. “We are proud to achieve this prestigious accreditation, which is uniformly recognized across the industry. We’re even more excited to have earned the full 3-year version of accreditation, which demonstrates our commitment to clinical quality and member services.”

The NCQA accreditation program evaluates organizations in:

  • Data integration
  • Population assessment
  • Population segmentation
  • Targeted interventions
  • Practitioner support
  • Measurement and quality improvement

“The Population Health Management programs suite moves us in greater alignment with the increased focus on person centered population health management,” said Margaret E. O’Kane, President, NCQA. “Not only does it add value to existing quality improvement efforts; it also demonstrates an organization’s highest level of commitment to improving the quality of care that meets people’s needs.”

Renalogic’s clinical services support more than 75 employer-sponsored health plans and hundreds of thousands of employees and members. Health plans using Renalogic’s clinical services range in size from 100-25,000 members.
